New Software combines Knowledge Based Engineering with Product Configurator with Rapid Results for Manufacturers.
Austin, TX – Citius Corporation, a developer of Knowledge Based Configurator software, today announced the release of its flagship software: KBMax. Citius engineers combined KBE and configurator programming to create a new software class they call a Knowledge Based Configurator.
KBMax provides cost reduction and swift improvement in the design, manufacturing, and sales processes for companies that build custom engineered products. With nominal input into its simple interface, KBMax automates the creation of 3D Models, BOMs, CAD Drawings, Office Documentation and Price Quotes.
"KBMax is an ideal tool for the challenging new economy in which we find ourselves,” said Bill Culwell, President of Citius Corporation. “Design automation software that connects to production and sales processes is no longer optional but absolutely required to run a successful manufacturing business.”
The statistics reinforce Mr. Culwell’s enthusiasm. During product testing, KBMax users in the semiconductor component industry experienced up to 90% reductions in design cycle and sales quotation times. And while initial numbers in this trial industry space were promising, KBMax seems poised for more diverse and dynamic applications.
“KBMax would immediately accelerate current engineering and production cycles for a broad range of manufacturers,” said Chief Technology Officer Kevin Bennett. “The software allows end users to customize rules and constraint functions to rapidly create complex product configurations. KBMax essentially acts as a cumulative product knowledge store where subsequent engineer and salesman inputs build improved designs and more cost-efficient production.
KBMax can be used stand-alone or integrated with existing enterprise systems such as CAD, PDM, and ERP.
