Boulder, CO : Anark Corporation, a leading provider of automated 3D CAD transformation and product visualization solutions and Tech Soft 3D, provider of the industry-leading 3D graphics engine and CAD translation technologies, today announced that Anark will add support for several popular 3D CAD formats provided by Tech Soft 3D's HOOPS™ 3D Exchange to Anark Core™.
The integration of HOOPS 3D Exchange (HOOPS 3DX) into Anark Core continues Anark's commitment to deliver cost-effective, easy-to-use authoring and publishing software for manufacturing companies. With Anark Core, customers can create fit-for-purpose manufacturing documents that support critical supply-chain processes: 3D PDF technical data packages with MBD, animated work instructions, first-article inspections, RFPs/RFQs, virtual prototyping, and more.
"In addition to the native 3D CAD formats already supported by Anark Core, we are pleased to offer our customers the industry-leading CAD format translation capabilities provided by Tech Soft 3D's HOOPS 3D Exchange," said Stephen Collins, CEO of Anark. "The performance and quality of TS3D's importers and exporters will provide a significant increase in speed and reliability to our customers, thereby increasing the overall efficiency of Anark Core."
Anark determined that the quality and performance of the HOOPS 3DX translators will deliver significant benefits to Anark's current and future customers. Anark's decision to use HOOPS 3DX and provide native support for the industry-standard Adobe 3D PDF demonstrates its commitment to helping manufacturers distribute, view, exchange, and collaborate without requiring expensive commitments to traditional CAD and PLM vendors. Anark is confident that manufacturers will enjoy considerable cost savings and efficiency improvements by embracing Adobe's native PDF format for a wide variety of 3D PDF engineering and manufacturing process documents.
"Now that Adobe has committed to support the 3D PDF format for decades to come, combined with the formation of the new 3D PDF Consortium of world-class 3rd party software companies, we are seeing more and more customers asking for native 3D PDF manufacturing documents as a way to reduce their dependency on proprietary CAD and PLM data formats," said Scott Collins, SVP of Product Development. "For example, our capability to transform heavy, proprietary 3D CAD with dimensions and tolerances (MBD) into lightweight 3D PDFs was a key factor in the DOD's decision to select Anark for its Model Based Enterprise initiatives."
"We are particularly pleased to add Anark Corporation to our growing list of world class customers. Their choice to embed our newly released HOOPS 3D Exchange components into Anark Core is a significant endorsement of the power of our solution for both reading CAD data and producing high-value 3D PDF's," said Ron Fritz, CEO of Tech Soft 3D.
