Intergraph® CADWorx® & Analysis University Begins in Houston

Opening keynotes announce investments in CADWorx, CAESAR II® and PV Elite® and ongoing integration with SmartPlant® Enterprise.

CADWorx® & Analysis University 2011 (CAU2011) opened today in Houston with keynote presentations by Rick Allen, senior vice president, Intergraph® CADWorx & Analysis Solutions (Intergraph CAS), and Patrick Holcomb, executive vice president, Global Business Development, Intergraph Process Power & Marine (Intergraph PP&M), during which Intergraph announced new initiatives and investments for Intergraph CAS products and services.

This year's CAU2011 keynotes carried the theme of "Enhancing Productivity through Collaboration" and focused on the Intergraph CAS vision for plant design and engineering. Emphasis was given to current and future product developments, and the progress made on Intergraph's commitment to integrate the Intergraph CAS products with the company's SmartPlant® Enterprise solutions. Also outlined were the increased resources being made available to speed the future development of the Intergraph CAS product portfolio.

Now in its fourth year, CAU is designed to deliver a quality educational experience that includes 55-plus classes and hands-on labs, all delivered by expert users and program developers, plus real-life case histories and development forums to help attendees get more out of their investment. CAU2011 continues through Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Also featured are: SmartPlant® Construction, for managing construction resources, materials, and schedules of construction companies, project management offices, fabricators, and owners; SmartPlant Materials, to allow CADWorx specifications to be used with SmartPlant Enterprise; SmartPlant Instrumentation, the industry-leading instrumentation solution; SmartPlant Electrical, a task-specific, rule-driven, and data-centric electrical design solution; SmartPlant Review, a complete visualization environment for interactively reviewing and analyzing large, complex 3D models of process and power plants; and, SmartPlant Spoolgen®, for rapid creation and revision control of fabrication spool drawings.
