Gent Belgium – Bricsys NV, the developer of Bricscad, and Rösberg Engineering, a leading software company for I&C (instrumentation and control) systems, announced today that its Prodok software is now available for Bricscad V10. Until today, Prodok was available only for AutoCAD®.
Rösberg Engineering ports its industry-leading Prodok software to Bricscad V10
Rösberg is a leading provider of I&C software for design and documentation of automation equipment in large industrial plants. The engineering workflow of its Prodok software is based on three modules: Process Engineering, Basic Engineering, and Detail Engineering. It employs a system of neutral logic diagrams. Using Bricscad as its CAD engine, Prodok generates logic diagrams automatically. The software imports the input and output signals from the Basic Engineering module, and then draws trans-document cross-references online during processing. In the same way loop diagrams and cabinet layouts are created using data from the Detail Engineering module
Prodok is used in several areas of the industry, such as chemical, oil and gas, energy, food and beverage, and pharmaceutics. It integrates planning, procurement, I&C, production control, ERP, and DMS systems.
“Our customers are all large industrial companies that rely on our competence in automation technology,” said Ralph Rösberg, Managing Partner at Rösberg Engineering. “Bricscad proved to be a very reliable platform that immediately won the confidence of our clients. We are impressed by Bricsys’ accurate support and responsiveness.”
“Having access to the plant management and maintenance industry through Rösberg Engineering is another important step for our Bricscad platform,” added Erik De Keyser, CEO of Bricsys. “It confirms our commitment to the high-end CAD application market, and the engineering industry in general.”
