Due to its powerful multi-axis machining capabilities, ESPRIT® computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) software by CAM industry innovator DP Technology Corp. has been selected by Bynas Co., Ltd., a Japanese leader in the development of industrial educational systems, for integration into its “Mill-Trainer” training system.
The “Mill-Trainer” system is an educational tool that focuses on 3 and 5-axis milling and will be used in technical institutions throughout Japan. Students will use the hands-on program via a portable milling machine, equipped with the latest computer-numerical-control (CNC) and CAM technologies, including Mitsubishi CNC M700V/M70 and DP Technology’s ESPRIT.
Customer support for the new learning tool will be provided by the Mitsubishi Group’s nationwide network.
The new partnership between Mitsubishi Electric Mechatronics Software and DP Technology is the result of recent technical collaborations between the two companies. ESPRIT was chosen for its complex machining capabilities combined with its ease of use, strong simulation, range of functionalities and reputation in the marketplace.
The new “Mill-Trainer” System is scheduled for release in April, 2010.
